Why Choose Dr. Irfan's Office

1. We're Truly Gentle

"I like the work that Dr Atcha and his staff do; I like their kindness, their courtesy. They greet you when you come in the door; they know the patients by name. I would recommend them to any person that is having dental problems." -- Johnson

Up until about 20 years ago, getting dental work done was a “less than comfortable” experience. Some procedures, such as tooth extraction, relied on brute force as the latest technique. Things have come a long way since then, and new techniques eliminate the manhandling that was once a requirement. Have you ever heard that you can’t teach an old dog new tricks? It’s shameful, but some dentists are just stuck in their ways and refuse to accept anything new. However, it doesn’t have to be that way. There is no longer a reason to associate dentistry with pain!

Dr. Atcha Method™ Dentistry takes advantage of all of the latest techniques and clinical research. Unlike an old dog unwilling to change his ways, Dr. Atcha actively seeks out any new options that can bring his patients a more relaxing and pain-free experience.

We ask that you learn a few new tricks as well.

You’ll have to let go of those anxieties and fears. They are part of the “old school” of dentistry, and we don’t practice that here

What we do here is essentially painless dentistry and life changing transformation. The old way of thinking was that you had to endure dental pain just to keep things from getting worse. Today’s thinking is that you can have the smile of your dreams without pain!

I could spend the rest of the day telling you that you no longer need to fear the dentist, but only you can let that message through. Read some of the quotes from our patients who came to us with the same fears that you have, then come in to the office for a complimentary consultation and meet our team. The feeling of trust and security that you get will be undeniable.

Not only are we able to relieve your fears and anxieties about dental care, we could make you so comfortable that you’ll sleep right through the whole procedure. When you go through sedation dentistry, you are so comfortable that we are able to complete amazing amounts of work in just one visit. Even with all of the comforts and amenities that we have to offer, most patients still think it’s better to have fewer visits.

"Whatever they did, it works because I had no pain and the good thing about it is that they gave me prescriptions for pain pills which I still have at home on the table, I have not used them, I did not need them, there was no pain when I was done.

After my wife and I have come here Dyer Family Dentistry is my guy now, and if someone told me they needed to go someplace I would tell them to come here." -- Larry Millar

"It’s not a financial burden. The way we have set up our payment, actually what I’m paying per month is worth what I’m getting today. Being able to eat, being able to taste food, just feeling comfortable about myself in a way that I haven’t felt for a long time.

I would definitely recommend Dr Atcha to any person needing dental work, but most especially from my experience anyone needing work done with dentures." -- Lowe

"He gave me confidence. His ability to do what he is going to do, he gave me that confidence. I felt confident and secure with him. These dental implants are the second best thing God ever gave a person."  -- Matthews

2. We Are Friendly

“They’re like regular teeth, you really can’t tell the difference. There’s no movement, they’re comfortable and cleaning is nice. You just go right back to your old routine, I can eat corn, I can eat apples; it’s great.

Don’t wait to take care of work that is needed in your mouth for as long as I did. He will do what is necessary and make you comfortable and take any route that you want to have done to make you comfortable and healthy. That’s what he has done for me, 100%." -- Shirey

Once you set foot in our office, you might forget where you are. We’re not your typical dentist office with a waiting room full of anxious patients. Actually, our waiting room is usually pretty empty because we don’t allow anyone to stay there for more than 15 minutes!

We don’t see our job—our mission in life—as treating dental patients. Our mission in life is making people happy, and a natural side benefit of that is walking out with a stunning smile. This must be why our neighbors think we do dental work—everybody walks out of our office with an amazing smile that wasn’t there when they came in.

We go out of our way to differentiate ourselves as the friendliest dentist office in the world. This starts from the day we hire each employee, based as much on their disarming personality as their professional qualifications. There’s also a bit of competition to see who can create the most smiles (it’s pretty contagious).

We don’t just hire pretty faces though. Our employees are only able to relax and have fun because they are extremely confident in everything they do. It’s only through this strong bond of competence and compassion that we are able to develop the lifelong patient relationships that ensure our future.

3. We Treat You with Respect and Compassion

"My husband loves my teeth, my new smile, my new teeth. I think he’s a lot happier knowing that I’m happier also, so we’re both happy, very happy.

I would recommend Dr Atcha to my friends, to my family, to strangers, to anyone that needs special care with their teeth." -- Stinson

We’re not your average dentist’s office and you’ll recognize that as soon as you walk in the door. Our primary focus is making patients feel happy and comfortable, and that starts with respect and compassion (with a whole lot of laughter in between).

We won’t let you wait around for us. I don’t think that anyone would argue that a doctor’s time is valuable, but doesn’t it make you mad when doctors imply that your time isn’t valuable? If we ever cause you to wait more than 15 minutes, then we’ll give you a $25 gift certificate or a $25 credit toward your bill. We appreciate your time.

We also show our respect and compassion by not judging your past. The biggest reason people put off dental work is because they feel guilty for having put it off in the past—it’s a never ending cycle. We’ll never lecture you about your past dental decisions. Why would we? We only care about the decision that brought you here today.

Have you ever really looked forward to a visit to the dentist? Have you ever really enjoyed a visit to the dentist? Don’t worry, you will. Come on in and see why.

Take a look at what our facility has to offer:

  • A quiet, relaxed environment, free from distractions
  • The sound of laughter and fun throughout the office (we enjoy what we do)
  • Hot or cold beverages - juice or coffee
  • Blankets and neck pillows
  • DVD movie players
  • Headphones to listen to your favorite music

My Search for the Truth about Dental Implants

It was easy to see that dental implants were the answer to so many dental problems, but I never understood why so little time had been spent on this in dental school. Missing teeth are a huge problem for people.

The more I learned, the less I understood about why dental students receive so little education on this miracle that solved so many of the problems in ways that were better than what I had been taught in dental school.

I continued studying and solving people’s problems for ten years using dental implants, but patients were often leery of something so new. Dental implants are a big step and they can be a “hard sell” for many patients. Some were hesitant to try something “new,” some worried about the possibility of failure and some really didn’t like to hear the word “surgery.”

It was during the 1990’s when orthopedic surgeons successfully placed large numbers of titanium hips, knees and other joints with very fast and easy recovery periods that dental implant surgery took off. When people saw that the same technology that made a hip so easy to replace was being used for something as minor as a “little dental implant”—all of the sudden, it wasn’t so scary.

There was one more hurdle…

I had done a lot of studying to ensure that using implants was the right choice for my patients, and years of experience had proven this. For years, I was referring my patients to more experienced oral surgeons for the actual placement of the implant. In the beginning, when implants were new, this worked fine. However, it soon became clear that for the sake of efficiency, and the trust of my patients, I needed to begin placing the implants myself.

So after using implants and Maryland bridges in the treatment plans of thousands of my patients, I decided to seek out the best of the best for my own personal training. I started with Nobel BioCare, the largest manufacturer of implants in the country. I studied their systems and prosthetics under Dr. Jack Hahn, a Cincinnati dentist who had placed over 30,000 implants. The training and experience were great, and I still use some of their products today, but because they were constantly pushing “their product” I decided to diversify my knowledge base.

I asked every dentist and oral surgeon I could find what their recommendations would be; time and time againThe Midwest Implant Institute in Columbus, Ohio was the clear champion. Training there was done hands-on under the close supervision of Dr. Heller, the founder and owner. He had placed 35,000 dental implants and is an expert in his field. He doesn’t just perform implants; he actually invented many of the instruments and techniques that are used today.

Doctors fly to Columbus, Ohio from all over the world to train under Dr. Heller, and I am so grateful for the opportunity to work with a true legend right here “in my own backyard.”

During my externship at The Midwest Implant Institute I developed a strong professional network with other likeminded dentists from around the world. We all had the strong desire to personally exceed the 95% success rate that implants saw worldwide, and we formed groups to study and share our discoveries back at our practices long after our externships were finished. Many doctors in my network have been placing implants for 30 years with tremendous success!

It was through this network that I discovered the world’s foremost implant dentist, Dr. Carl Misch, and decided to continue my studies under him to learn everything I could about this modern miracle.

My personal search for a great choice to replace missing teeth—all the way from my childhood—had final closure. I can feel good about the options I have to offer my patients. FINALLY!

I could have gone the easy route after dental school by opening my practice and offering just a handful of services for the rest of my career. However, my personal challenge wasn’t just to be a dentist; it was to be a dentist who offered the best and most options, as well as the most compassionate care. That’s why I went through extensive training to be able to bring the full range of services, from surgical placement of implants to the design and placement of your new teeth, all in one office.

5. You Get More Options

For some reason, there are other dentists who will only offer you a few procedure choices. Maybe they really don’t know about all of the other choices, or perhaps they chose not to be trained in a large variety of methods. Many dentists choose their personal favorites and insist that their patients go with those options. They won’t tell you anything about the procedures that they don’t want to perform.

In the Atcha Method™, I rely heavily on prevention. If I can prevent tooth decay and gum disease all together, then I have truly done my patients a service.

Obviously, not all dental problems can be prevented, which leads us to our next priority—early detection. I use the latest detection technology to find things that most dentists miss. One example is our fiber-optic lighting system that I use to detect tiny cracks that our patients say other dentists had never noticed.

When it comes to avoiding pain and discomfort, we go to great lengths to offer you more choices. These include topical anesthetic pastes, needle-free anesthetic, dental sedation, nitrous oxide analgesia and other non-drill methods. I use a method of pinching your cheek while I give you the anesthetic, which is extremely effective at disguising what I’m doing. Most patients say that they feel nothing at all during my injections, and that’s the truth!

We also offer more choices when it comes to the more complicated procedures. We offer inlays and onlays, veneers, bonding, implants, shaping, whitening and so much more.

What we don’t offer is that lame excuse that you only have one or two options. With the Atcha Method™ you’ll usually have a number of well explained options to choose from. We’ll discuss every option that modern dentistry has to offer so that you can make an educated decision.
